What to Do in a Dental Emergency
1. Stay Calm & Call Us Immediately
The most important step is to contact our office at (407) 853-8877. We'll provide guidance and schedule your urgent appointment.
For a Knocked-Out Tooth:
Handle the tooth by the crown (top), not the root. If dirty, gently rinse with water (do not scrub). Try to reinsert it into the socket if possible. If not, keep it moist in milk or saliva and get to our office ASAP.
For a Toothache:
Rinse your mouth with warm salt water. Gently floss to remove any trapped food. Avoid placing aspirin directly on the gums. Call us for an evaluation.
For a Broken or Chipped Tooth:
Rinse your mouth with warm water. If there's swelling, apply a cold compress. Save any broken pieces if possible and bring them with you.
